about me13th May 2010, 06.31....my son was born in a peaceful calm way, but how did I get there, from the place I started? I came to HypnoBirthing through a strong fear about my ability
to carry and birth my son. I was given Mary Mongan's book on
HypnoBirthing, read it in about one week and immediatley signed up to a course. From the
moment the course began I knew that the honesty and logic of the programme suited both my mind and soul. I quickly began to feel positive and excited about my
pregnancy and becoming a mum.
The more I learned and read the more I understood how all I was doing was re-learning something my body already knew, forgetting the stories I had been told and trusting that my body which had nurtured this baby within me could also birth it, naturally and safely. When the day arrived I found that the relaxation techniques I had been taught enabled me to calmly birth my son with ease. The experience blew me away, I looked at other women with complete awe and amazement, I realised in those moments after my son was born how powerful it is to be a woman and how magical it can be to carry your child and give birth to it. It is an experience I deeply wish to help others achieve, and I know that through the HypnoBirthing course and the renewed trust in your body it is something that can be acheived. |
