Birth by Nature
Giving birth and becoming a parent is
one of the most significant events in people's lives. I endeavour to equip
couples with a realistic idea of what labour, birth and the early weeks as
parents can be like.
The philosophy of Birth by Nature stems from the belief that women are inherently strong and capable of
giving birth, but they need to feel safe and supported. To achieve this
feeling and especially when there are unexpected surprises, the presence of
a close friend, relative or trained birth companion (doula) can be
invaluable.
The magic of a new baby meeting its
parents for the first time is a precious, unique moment which deserves the
greatest respect and honour. Supporting couples at this miraculous time and
helping a woman fulfill her natural desire to breastfeed are parts of my
job close to my heart.
I am a trained birth companion (doula),
childbirth preparation mentor and breastfeeding adviser. I am committed to helping couples
fulfil their hopes for as positive a birth experience as possible wherever
and however they choose to give birth.
My background is in primary education
but since the birth of my own children I have made a move into the world of
pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and parent education.
I have a flexible approach to my work, and
clients can tailor to their specific requirements any or all of the aspects of what Birth by Nature offers. Please do not hesitate to call for
